At Middle Park State School, The IMPACT Team is part of our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, providing students with disabilities (diagnosed or imputed) the opportunity to succeed within the whole school environment.

We provide safe access and participation to the curriculum alongside their same-aged peers. This is achieved through providing reasonable adjustments, where required, to remove or reduce barriers, and build tools and strategies to overcome barriers. Supports and adjustments are based on the functional impact of the students' needs we see at school, and this is what determines the category (Cognitive, Social Emotional, Physical and/or Sensory) and level (Quality Differentiated Teaching Practice, Supplementary, Substantial and Extensive) of support. These supports can include classroom and environmental adjustments, targeted resources, programs, plans, interventions, inclusion teacher aide support, inclusion teacher support, and specialist support. We work collaboratively with staff, students, parents/carers and specialists.

We are always striving for an inclusive community of empowered learning leaders.
