The Guidance Officer (GO) works with students, parents, and staff to support the wellbeing and learning of all children at our school. The GO helps students with a range of issues that may affect their learning, behaviour, or emotional development. The GO's main aim is to help every student feel safe, supported, and able to reach their full potential, both personally and academically.
Support may include:
- Counselling students to help them manage worries, friendships, or behaviour.
- Assisting teachers and parents to understand and support students' learning needs.
- Conducting assessments to identify learning difficulties.
- Supporting students with transitions and resilience building.
- Working with families and external agencies to ensure students receive the right support.
