Computer and internet

Our classrooms are each allocated a pod of laptops which are used in small groups or
combined across the block to make a whole class set. In addition, each classroom also has access to PCs along with the Computer Lab’s 30 PCs for whole class activities. A variety of other technologies are also used in classrooms such as interactive whiteboards, point-to-view cameras, still/video cameras, robotics kits, digital microscopes, microphones etc. These devices enable teachers to present topics of work in motivating ways and enable students to develop 21
st century skills whilst promoting hands-on learning.  All classrooms are connected to our wireless network.

iPads are used in many areas of the school including Prep where each class has a small group set and Year 1, where a whole class set is shared across the classes.  Additionally, iPads are used by our students with disabilities to aid social and communication skills and sets of iPads are also used in our LOTE and ESL departments.  Our 1:1 BYOX iPad program commenced in 2015 for Years 2 and 3 and has now expanded to Years 2 to 6.

We feel proud of the e-learning opportunities available to our students.
